The Millard County Treasurer's office is charged with collecting and distributing property tax revenue for all of the taxing entities in Millard County.

Each type of taxing entity is listed below with a brief description of the services provided by each entity. We have also included contact information for each entity. If you have questions or concerns about how your tax dollars are spent or what services are provided, we would encourage you to contact the respective entities representative.

MILLARD COUNTY:

This is a county-wide levy which funds the general operation of county government for uniform services enjoyed by all residents of Millard County including, emergency services, road maintenance, law enforcement, recreation, television transmission, economic development, public & mental health, aging services, weed spraying, prosecution of criminals, jail services, etc.

STATE BASIC SCHOOL LEVY:

This is a State mandated levy to participate in the Uniform School Fund for per pupil funding (weighted pupil unit) to insure equity in public education between school districts statewide.

STATE CHARTER SCHOOL LEVY:

In 2016 the Utah Legislature established a new charter school levy that went into effect on January 1, 2017. This levy is set by the Utah Legislature and is distributed based on charter school enrollment (similar to the State Basic School Levy.) This levy is meant to provide more transparency in school funding.

This uniform statewide levy is mandated by the Legislature, to promote adequate funding for assessing and collecting functions, on an equitable basis, to all counties of the state at a minimally acceptable level.
